We have worked with Jon on a number of projects over the last few years.

These now include a project at his own property – completed in summer 2024.

Jon is of course a very professional Structural Engineer. That almost goes without saying as he is a Fellow of the Institute of Structural Engineers and lectures (on a part time basis) in Structural Design at Sheffield University.

Equally important to us from a business perspective however is that Jon is very responsive, and open to ideas and questions. He is highly personable, knowledgeable, collaborative and is a genuine pleasure to work with as a fellow team member or indeed as a customer.

I contacted Jon at short notice to do a structural beam calculation for a loft conversion. Even though he had a busy schedule he managed to fit me in and visit the location. Within a few days Jon had produced several detailed sketches and full detailed specification. During this time he was very quick to answer my queries and explain everything precisely and with sufficient detail that even myself (a non builder) could understand.
